Holiday Wishes from Mullaney Center
The Holidays are here. Time to spread the cheer. Its the little things you do and say that spread the spirit day by day . **** Never look at it as if there is so much prep work for one day and its over. **** The prep work is the joy itself hanging lights, food shopping for special meals, writing cards out, etc. I know there are parties and shopping and special events and concerts. The rush can be overwhelming at times for some of us. Just relax and go with the flow, pick and choose what will bring you and your family and friends the most happiness and joy with no worries. Every time you see a Christmas light think of the joy it brings to others and smile. Give a smile to everyone you see, it will become contagious. Practice gratitude.
Try this: play along, change your voice to Eeyore or Squidward pinching your nose may help
"Gee thanks another tie"
New voice like Tigger or Sponge Bob
"This is the best tie ever! I'm putting it on right now. How's it look? I cant wait for everyone to see it!"
FUN little exercise, you get the picture.
Remember to feed your thoughts of Joy, Peace, Love, Hope, Sharing, Serenity, Humility, Kindness, Benevolence, Friendship, Empathy, Generosity, Truth, Compassion, and Faith. Practice daily and have the best Holiday season ever. Balance your life and schedule. Here is a daily mantra that I enjoy:
" My life is perfectly balanced right now. I have plenty of time for everything I desire, and I enjoy a variety of activities in my life. All my responsibilities are met; and I can devote myself to fun, rest and exercise."by Dorreen Virture
PEACE JODY
